What Cooper's made of...

For those of you wondering what Cooper is made of, he's jack russell plus mini schnauzer.  For those of you still wondering....

He's this.....

....plus this!

I know...we're still wondering.  But after extensive research, we can see a little of both in him.  And though he seems to look like a german shepherd, after looking at pictures, we have ruled this thought out.

Coop playing with his toys

 Cooper loves his squeaky toys!

 Super Dog to the rescue!

Coop lost his ball under the chair and decided to try to get it...to no avail. Mommy had to rescue it for him.

Cooper meets Ethan!

We were a little worried when Cooper first met Ethan.  He seemed to think that the best way to communicate with cooper was through hitting him with toys and he got overly excited when he got close to Cooper and would just flail his arms, sometimes hitting him.  Cooper wasn't sure how to respond to this type of communication.  Luckily, there was no biting or barking, he would just find me, huddle real close, and look at Ethan, trying to figure him out.  Once he did, there was no holding back!

 They both loved kisses!

Cooper was fascinated with the oddities of a diaper.

Cooper has no idea Ethan is about to flip him in the tent. Cooper seemed to love the attention anyway!

We also found out Cooper loves balls!  To Ethan's dismay.  He didn't like sharing his toys!

Trek 2010

Our trek family!

Val using his mad skills as chef to make some yummy breakfast!

A good shot of our tent.

Fun life games!

Val coming to the rescue for a broken wheat grinder!

You want us to do what??  Each of us had to go through these holes without touching the rope at all.

I think I forgot to sign my release form!  Luckily, I trusted Val not to drop me.

Crossing the river.  Val and I were excused.  We had the "I'm an adult and this is YOUR experience.  We'll be fine here on the dry bank" excuse.

Our wonderful cart and its family on our last day of trek.  Figures it wouldn't be until the last day that we finally figured out how to tie everything down without things falling off.  Grrr!

Arizona trip 2010

Val and I went to visit my brother and his family in Arizona.  Fun times!
Hiking up near Flagstaff.  Val was very grateful to be here instead of Goodyear.  It was a good 20* cooler-meaning it was only 90*!

Val survived by drenching his hat in water every time we passed a stream.  Poor guy!

This is maybe the cutest dog ever!  She does that tongue thing a lot.  And she snorts all the time.  How cool is that?!!

So cute!

The great Hoover Dam....and me!

Val got jealous.  He wanted his picture with the dam too.  Kids!

Us with my brother and his awesome family.

Val's Birthday 2010

Playing catch-up.  Here's some pictures from Val's bday
So it turns out we don't own candles.  So matches were the next best thing.  Genious, my husband.

And in one fell swoop, all the "candles" were blown out.

Our adorable niece.  And the guy next to her...no cause for alarm.  He's not in pain.  This is just the 5th picture of the two of them sitting here and his attention span was waning.

The Jacob doll from New Moon??  You shouldn't have, big brother!

Phew!  There's a reciept.  Um, excuss me ma'am.  I want to return this doll....I just wasn't satisfied with it.  Can you say, "Awkward return"????

Thanks to the most awesome wife ever.....and some generous inlaws to help, Val got the TV he had been coveting for a while!
